Ajib Abdul Salaam along with his brother Hassan Abdul Salaam screated Help For Humanity; every month Help For Humanity feeds deserving families in Senegal, West Africa. Ajib and Hassan both have deep connections in Senegal, West Africa where they take their spiritual teachings and spent a great deal of their lives as young men.
Their mission is simple: to address the problem of hunger, one family at a time. Since the beginning of 2012, they’ve fundraised over $5,000 and distributed more than five tons of rice to families in Senegal. They recently successfully completed a #25for25 campaign, where they set out to recruit 25 ordinary people to donate $25 towards a family in need –a $25 donation can feed a family of four for an entire month.
Small steps can make big changes. Ajib’s always had his heart in campaigning for the less fortunate and regularly organizes a variety of humanitarian efforts in the community, from distributing food and clothing to homeless people to creating programs that raise awareness about the importance of arts and education. His actions are recognized throughout the world and he is striving to help humanity one family at a time. His brother Hassan, a native New Yorker is no different; with a passion to improve the state of humanity he is constantly involved with community outreach in urban neighborhoods across New York City.
